The sad fact is many of them end up broken or lost again, while others are sold for just pennies on the dollar of their true worth in lawn sales, flea markets, ect. Recently a homeowner consigned a bottle with us he found under the porch of his old house, it sold for over $900! With today's internet there is a wealth of info at your finger tips! I use the Google search engine rather extensively in my research of antique bottle and artifacts. Just type in a pertinent word or words of the artifact, if it doesn't return results the first time, don't give up! Narrow your search, use more specific words, or try some different words. Approach your research from different angles. Search engines like these are an excellent source for information that is out there! DiggerDirect |
